HASTI MOGHADDAM
I am originally from Iran. I obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences and later completed an International Master in Biomedicine jointly organized by
Université de Luxembourg, Université de Strasbourg, and Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.

During my previous research experience at the Flemish Institute for Technological Research, I worked on plasma proteomics analysis of large cohorts. She has also gained experience in molecular biology, recombinant protein expression, and translational biomedical research.

I am currently a doctoral candidate within the SHIELD Doctoral Network, which I joined in March 2026. My PhD project is based at the University of Gothenburg within the Department of Orthopaedics focused on implant-associated infections and antimicrobial strategies.

My PhD project focuses on improving the prevention and understanding of prosthetic joint infections in hip and knee arthroplasty through registry-based studies, pharmacokinetic investigations of prophylactic antibiotic, and experimental implant infection models. The overall aim is to optimize antimicrobial strategies and identify factors contributing to implant-associated infections.
