I am a dentist from Iran and a Doctoral Candidate in the SHIELD Doctoral Network. I obtained my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Hamadan University of Medical Sciences and have three years of clinical experience as a general dentist, with a particular interest in oral surgery and implantology. My research background includes bone tissue engineering, wound healing, biomaterials, and oral tissue regeneration.

I joined the SHIELD Doctoral Network in February 2026. I am hosted at the University of Oslo, Department of Biomaterials, Institute of Clinical Dentistry, where I work within a multidisciplinary research environment focused on oral regeneration, implant dentistry, biomaterials, and translational research.

My PhD project focuses on developing and evaluating non-antibiotic debridement and decontamination strategies for dental implant-associated infections. The project aims to investigate mechanical and hydrogel-based approaches for biofilm removal using clinically relevant in vitro multispecies biofilm models, failed dental implants, and in vivo translational models. The overall goal of my project is to improve infection-control strategies for peri-implantitis and enhance the long-term success of dental implants.
