Selection process
The recruitment of doctoral candidates in SHIELD will follow the principles of transparency, fairness, and inclusivity, emphasizing mobility and diversity. After the application deadline, a committee will review candidates' eligibility, and interested applicants will be forwarded to the relevant Principal Investigator (PI). The PI will shortlist and interview candidates, selecting the most suitable based on academic quality, with a preference for underrepresented groups in case of equal qualifications. The process will be completed within three months, and all applicants will be notified. If any positions remain open, recruitment will continue until filled.

Data collected from candidates will be used solely for recruitment purposes and will not be shared outside of SHIELD unless explicitly authorized by the applicant.
