- Research Project 14:
Project Description
DC14 will develop hydrogel-based formulations loaded with bacteriophages to treat peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis. The project focuses on establishing in vitro biofilm models on titanium surfaces, identifying effective phages, exploring synergistic effects with antibiotics, and designing injectable composites with bioactive glass. This research aims to enhance biofilm removal and improve clinical outcomes for implant-related infections.
